Saviez-vous que les d\u00e9chets de cuisine (\u00e9pluchures de fruits, de l\u00e9gumes, marc de caf\u00e9, sachets de th\u00e9,\u2026.) repr\u00e9sentent pr\u00e8s de 50 % de nos d\u00e9chets domestiques ?
\nPartant de ce constat et pour r\u00e9pondre aux questions de tous, l\u2019association Lion Environnement a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 l\u2019exposition de l\u2019ADEME<\/a> sur le compostage domestique, dans le cadre de la semaine europ\u00e9enne de r\u00e9duction des d\u00e9chets.<\/p>\n

Qu\u2019est-ce que le compostage ?<\/strong><\/span>
\nLe compostage est un processus naturel qui permet le retour au sol de la mati\u00e8re organique. Il s\u2019op\u00e8re gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la transformation de la mati\u00e8re organique en pr\u00e9sence d\u2019eau et d\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne par le biais de micro-organismes.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi composter ?<\/strong><\/span>
\n– le compostage r\u00e9duit la quantit\u00e9 de d\u00e9chets au quotidien et de ce fait l\u2019impact li\u00e9 au transport et au traitement des d\u00e9chets,
\n– le compost am\u00e9liore la fertilit\u00e9 des sols et permet de pratiquer le jardinage en respectant l\u2019environnement
\n– Il limite l\u2019augmentation des taxes d\u2019enl\u00e8vement des ordures m\u00e9nag\u00e8res et redevances.<\/p>\n

Comment fait-on concr\u00e8tement ?<\/span><\/strong>
\nS\u2019il est possible de composter en tas, le composteur est plus appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 et plus esth\u00e9tique. On peut le fabriquer soi-m\u00eame ou en faire la demande sur le site de Caen la mer, en remplissant le formulaire de demande<\/a> de composteur pour habitat pavillonnaire :<\/p>\n

Et si l\u2019on n\u2019a pas de jardin ?<\/span><\/strong>
\nEn immeuble ou maison individuelle, les habitants d\u2019un quartier peuvent se regrouper pour mettre en place et g\u00e9rer un composteur collectif. Le SYVEDAC accompagne les projets.<\/p>\n

Le compostage c\u2019est facile<\/strong> !<\/span>\u00a0 Tous les d\u00e9chets organiques sont bio-d\u00e9gradables et donc compostables ! Pour avoir un bon compost, il suffit de respecter quelques r\u00e8gles simples : diversifier les d\u00e9chets : d\u00e9chets de cuisine et de jardin, oxyg\u00e9ner\/retourner\/brasser le compost, Surveiller l\u2019humidit\u00e9, Fragmenter les d\u00e9chets difficiles \u00e0 d\u00e9grader.
\nUn compost bien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 ne sent pas mauvais !<\/p>\n

Et apr\u00e8s ?<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn utilise le compost une fois m\u00fbr pour amender le sol :
\n– Incorpor\u00e9 au sol et m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 la terre pour faire du terreau
